A Real Housewives Database

Three of my favorite things are Design, Data Visualization and The Real Housewives. As I work my way through each of the franchises, I’ve found myself constantly looking up each of the women, what seasons they’re on and different places they’ve visited.

This inspired me to create a central location with all things housewives. A database, if you will. I want the database to be a reflection of the franchises so I designed some mockups of different data sets in Figma utilizing variables.

Due to the complexity and sheer volume of information, I learning Tableau in order to make my data viz dreams come true.

Creating Consistency

I knew each franchise would need a lot of the same things - a franchise name, icon, color, the year each franchise started and the number of seasons each franchise has run for.

I used Figma Variables to define different modes for each franchise. I then attached each of those variables to different components. This helped to drive consistency across franchises, and save time when designing different screens and features.
